Is three meals in a hawker centre too much to ask for?
Truely pissed off by these crap that we are facing.
1 moment, we have minister having sky rocket pay raise like nobody business, next we see them arguing over a mere $30 increase in monthly allowance for the old folks and disabled.
Have that Balakrishnan fellow ever visited a 1 room HDB block before?
$5 a day! How the fuck can someone survive in Singapore with just $5 a day? Is three meal in a hawker centre too much to ask for? Are we expecting the old and disabled to cook 3 meals themselves?
I wonder if that Balakrishnan fellow is willing try demostrate how the fuck you can survive with just $5 a day.

Dr Lily Neo: Sir, I want to check with the Minister again when he said on the strict criteria on the entitlement for PA recipients. May I ask him what is his definition of "subsistence living"? Am I correct to say that, out of $260 per month for PA recipients, $100 goes to rental, power supply and S&C and leaving them with only $5 a day to live on? Am I correct to say that any basic meal in any hawker centre is already $2.50 to $3.00 per meal? Therefore, is it too much to ask for just three meals a day as an entitlement for the PA recipients?

Hello, peasants can only survive on bread and instant noodle. $5 should be enough for that. Hawkwer center is way too luxurious for peasants, or at least that's what our Ministers feel.

Seriously, I would REALLY REALLY LOVE to see that one day our so call VIPs of the govt body tries to live like the peasants! I think they will just die man!

After reading this, i feel that humans are after all humans.
To give that extra $30 would mean that the govt must either 1: Reduce their f**king pay by a little
2:raise bloody taxes/gst again
the gst has just been risen, if they do it again, i think u can expect to see riot outside the white house.
Cutting their own pay? HAHAHAHA they rather have an argument session with you for 10 hours and try to convince you than part with $1(you know what i mean by $1)
