Not a Dell, not a Toshiba, not even an Alienware. The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro's PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway's E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook's score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn't care less whether you run Windows.

Well, whenever newer and better specs of a PC or laptop it'll definitely boost the performance. Same goes to a MAC. Btw, the faster is not MAC anymore. Read carefully in the article.

Well, if Apple would allow PC makers to make Macs, then don't be surprise some China or Taiwanese will actually come out with a compatible that outperforms whatever Apple can make.

I disagree. When China has managed to copy even Disneyland, China can copy anything... :) And the beauty of a device is meaningless when in 2 years time you need an upgrade.

Hmmm...not too sure but I think it may not really hurt Microsoft considering that all they do is software and not hardware.
Think they will be all the more happy if the Mac users can run Windows on it coz it opens up another market for them eh ;)
But eh, think the X-Fusion has already toppled the Mac as the fastest to test in a Vista environment yah?
