Happy Deepavali
Happy Deepavali to all my Hindu readers. (Not sure how many are there) Well, if you are not Hindu, you can also be happy on Deepavali right? :D
All my Indian colleagues are allowed to leave office early yesterday to prepare for the celebration today. This has always been the company policy. Malay colleagues are also allowed to leave early on the eve of Hari Raya.
But when it comes to Chinese New Year, everyone is allowed to leave early. NOT FAIR! Why is it that the Malays and Indians have their special half day off on the eve of their holiday but when it comes to CNY, everyone leave early together? We Chinese should also have our special half day off while the rest have to remain in office and work.
OK OK, I’m just kidding only. Hee hee...
Happy Deepavali to all. :D
