Too Long For Twitter, Too Short For Blog #4

Pure time waster
If you got spare time, try this Endless Zombie Rampage game.

If you still have more time to waste, go ahead and waste it on Desktop Tower Defense

Its hard to find anymore spare time after this 2 games. Trust me.

Photoshopped
Not sure if you notice, but the picture of the crossroad in this post was actually photoshopped by me. This picture is actually from the movie castaway. Its the ending where Tom Hanks was standing at a cross road junction thinking where to go next. The original picture looked like this.

Would you notice that I photoshopped the picture if I didn't tell you?

SPUG is back
The Singapore Palm User Group website is finally back online after being down for nearly 7 month. Missed the forum so much. We had so much fun and laughter in the past.

Things aren't really the same now. I wonder if SPUG will ever be as strong as it used to be.

Beware of your Hitchoo cards
After the Geek Terminal launch party, I've learnt that I have to keep my Hitchoo card in a secure place. What happen was, Uzyn snatched it away from me and took one of the Hitchoo card. I have totally no idea who he gave the Hitchoo card to. I have no problem if he gave to some of the pretty gals around. But really don't know Uzyn's taste lor. Wait she give a old lady how?

Anyway, I managed to get back the Hitchoo cards shortly after beating him repeatly on his arms. Like the way he hit me before his Village Talk.

More about Hitchoo
I got an email from Yinghan because I mentioned about Hitchoo cards in my blog. I'm still trying to brainstorm all the areas where Hitchoo can improve on. It's a very new startup and there are lots and lots of rooms for improvements. It's nice to see many positive feedbacks on Kevin's blog.

Don't think I can release the details from the email. But all I can say is, remember not to give out all your 8 Hitchoo cards. Keep at least one. You'll find out why soon. :)

EastCoastLife is the last person you want to seek help from
If you ever get your dick stuck on your zipper, the LAST person you want to seek help from is EastCoastLife (AKA Chio Chio De Aunty). What happened was one of her employee got his dick stuck on the zipper and someone got her to help unstuck the situation.

She twitter for help, shouted in ping.sg shoutbox and blog about the whole incident when its done.

The past was tomorrowed, hardwarezoned, sammyboyed and appearing at many other forums. It even went up Shin Min Daily News on 30th May, front page!

Seriously, if my dick ever got stuck on the zipper, please please please don't get EastCoastLife to help me.

tenCube BlogIn

I'm going to NUS later to attend a BlogIn event by tenCube. Exactly... what is a BlogIn? I know BlogOut, but BlogIn? Hhhhmmm....

Anyway, I heard that tenCube has a system than can remotely backup your handphone contacts and stuff. And even delete everything in case your handphone got stolen. Interesting. Will learn more about it later.

Lets home I don't lose my way in NUS.

Geek Terminal launch party

At Geek Terminal launch party now. Lots of people, food, wine and more wine.

Ok, I like to have another red wine please. :D

Hitchoo

I just got my Hitchoo cards today.

Hitchoo has a very interesting concept. You give the Hitchoo card to someone you met, he/she checks your profile on hitchoo and contact you. Its alot better than giving out namecards or moocards. Especially when you just met the gal.

Oh ya... the card is made using good quality material. Not those cheapo cards. I'm sure the person receiving the card would be impressed by it.

I quite like the concept behind hitchoo. Thanks to Kevin for recommending this website. Too bad I didn't get to meet Yinghan at blogout.

Actually, I have a better idea on how to use this Hitchoo card too. You exchange your card with one of your friend. So you pass your friend's hitchoo card to someone you think your friend might be interested in and your friend do the same for your card. Take it as a blind date or something.

Anyone want to exchange Hitchoo card? And don't sabo me go give it to a old lady hor!

Savage Garden - Crash and Burn

Savage Garden - Crash and Burn

When you feel all alone
And the world has turned its back on you
Give me a moment please to tame your wild wild heart
I know you feel like the walls are closing in on you
Its hard to find relief and people can be so cold
When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you cant take anymore

Let me be the one you call
If you jump Ill break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone

When you feel all alone
And a loyal friend is hard to find
You're caught in a one way street
With the monsters in your head
When hopes and dreams are far away and
You feel like you can't face the day

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone

And there has always been heartache and pain
And when its over you'll breathe again
You'll breath again

When you feel all alone
And the world has turned its back on you
Give me a moment please
To tame your wild wild heart

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone

For goodness sake, take up some computer fundamental courses

I always wonder how an office in the past operates without a computer. I came to the working world when computer can be found in almost every office. In fact, I spend almost my time at office in front of a computer. I cannot imagine how to get things done in an office without a computer. Well, ok, perhaps it’s because I’m in the IT line. But even if you are in other industries, you would most likely be facing a computer most of the time in office. Can you imagine a day in office without computer?

We spend so much time in front of the computer each day, using it to help us to do our work more efficiently. Yet many people don’t bother to learn more about computers. I’m not talking about those advance stuff like networking or programming. I’m talking about basic computer knowledge. Like how to use Microsoft Office or basic computer operation.

My ex-director is well known for asking for help when comes to preparing power point slide and excel spreadsheet for presentations. I’ve lost count of the number of times he asked into his office to teach him simple stuff like how to attached a word document into an power point slide to how to plot a graph. I still remember once he asked me something about excel.

“What does the ‘=$A$1’ means in excel formula? Why got $ sign?”

I always tried my best to explain to him without making him feel like he is a fool. But when the questions are these simple, it’s rather hard. And this guy is actually earning 3 or 4 times more salary than me! I’m glad that he was transferred to another department and I don’t need to go teach him the basic office fundamentals.

But then, this is not a unique case. There are really tons of people who have no basic computer skills. As the part time LAN admin in the office, I get to encounter many of such people.

Recently, one of my colleagues emailed me for help saying her Windows is behaving strangely and been rather laggy. So I went over to check what went wrong. After some checking, I suspect it was cause by one of the in-house software that she is using. So I asked her how she installed that program.

Her reply shocked me. “I didn’t install it. I ask someone to help me install one. I don’t know how to install lah. Every time ask people help me install this and that, then I use lor.”

Mind you, we are working in a IT department. And you don’t know how to install a program by yourself? I’m actually alright if you are working in other industries like accounting or business or even engineering. But this is the IT industries leh.

For goodness sake, go to the nearest community club, check out their latest computer fundamental course and learn some basic computer skills. You are working in the IT line.

Kenny G - Going Home

Its always nice to listen to Kenny G in the middle of the night. I know its going to be difficult to fall asleep tonight.

Just when I thought I got everything figured out, some thing comes along and mess up the whole plan. Well, back to the drawing board I will. Give up I will never.

Who knows, this might even be a blessing in disguise.

Do something that make everyone say wow

I still remember during Nexus when I feel uneasy telling people which company am I from. Other than being there as an individual and dislike my company, there is another reason which I didn't mention.

Because there is nothing much to say about my work. My job is doing something that is important yet mostly unnoticed. I usually don't like to talk much about it because there is no pride when telling people. Its nothing fantastic.

Over the past few days, I've been dreaming and deciding which path to take. And I know my current job is not the place I want to stay in. It is not just the RM people in my office or the stupid policy they had. Its just that there is no sense of achievement in the everyday things I do. Even after I managed to solve that huge error recently, there still isn't much sense of achievement.

I want to do something for myself. Something fantastic. Something that I can feel proud when telling people at networking function. I admit I like compliments. Well, who doesn't?

Recently, I've been surrounded by people who have achieved a lot in their life. Some of them are younger than me. They got me asking myself, what was I doing? I look back and saw four years of my life wasted. I could had done much more for the past four years. But I was busy at work and studies.

I told myself that I want to spend this weekend thinking about what I want to do. I off my twitter so that it will not disturb me. I went out to the streets, wondering aimlessly trying to find inspiration on what to do.

I finally found my inspiration here.

No, I'm not going into street arts. Don't worry. I suck at drawing.

I was looking at the chalk drawing by Julian Beever at Raffles City and seeing the reaction of everyone. Everyone is using their handphone camera to take picture. Everyone is saying the word "wow" when they saw it. And at that moment, I suddenly realise what I really wanted to do in life.

I want to do something that will make everyone say "wow" when they see it.

Maybe I should really go into web programming. I used to be quite good in programming during poly days. I'm sure I still am now, just that I need some time to get the engine started again. But I've never done web programming before. There are a lot of things I need to catch up. Need to learn PHP, MySQL and stuff. It is almost impossible for me to do it if I'm still working at my current company. There isn't enough time. So I guess I'm really resigning and going jobless for a few month. Pick up the skill, get everything on the right track before deciding if I want to find another job or carry on doing freelance.

I know its going to be tough. Many people will surely say I'm crazy to put down a well paid job. Well, I guess I'm still young to explore the world. If I don't do it now, then when can I do it?

I hope my family and love ones will give me their support.

I'm going to take option 2. I believe that this is the best way for me to make everyone say "wow". This is my new dream.

Crossroad - Where to go next?

I thought everything would be fine when I just returned to office from my 1 1/2 week long study leave on Wednesday. My threshold level for their nonsense should be quite high after the long break. I was wrong. In less that 1 hour, I got so fed up with the stupid things that people do while I'm away that I feel like just typing out my resign letter on the spot. All these people cares about is covering their backside and wait for retirements.

I cannot stay in this company forever. I'm already feeling the effects of being in this company. Somehow, I'm turning very slack as the days go by. I'm beginning to become one of them. With the retiree mentality, sometimes I call it RM for short.

I told myself that I'm going to use this weekend to think about the next step. We still have less than a 1/4 of the weekend left, and I'm still not quite decided which step to take. I have several options. Maybe I should list them out.

Find a new job and resign. This is the safest step. Everyone is saying this is the way to go. But the problem is, I'm currently a diploma holder doing my degree. I will be getting my degree in 1/2 year time. Which makes me in the middle of nowhere. Jobs that requires a diploma may not want me because I would be over-qualified in 6 month time. Most employer would think that I will surely change a job once I get my degree. Jobs that require a degree will not want me because I haven't gotten my degree yet, which makes me under-qualified. In short, I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Resign now, take a break then find a new job. Actually, I quite like this idea. I've been working for 4 years since I came out from NS. I need a break. And I could take this time to pick up some new skill. Currently, I'm thinking of picking up web programming. With that skill, maybe I could take up a few freelance job in the future, or create some interesting website myself as a hobby. Then when I'm done with the learning, I'll find a new job and continue to do freelance and web development while at my new job.

But the problem is am I able to survive without a payslip? Will others think that I'm a slacker who don't want to work even though I'm spending those time picking up new skill and doing freelance? Will my dad nag and nag and nag at me whole day for not finding a proper job? Would any gal find security in a guy without a stable income? And what if I couldn't find a job after I had enough break and learnt what I wanted to learn?

The last option is to stay at my current company until I finish my degree. Maybe switch job once I got my degree. EVERYONE around me is telling me to take this option. well... almost everyone. I don't know. I really don't think this is the right path to choose. I don't want to there for too long until I become like one of them. I don't know how long more can I endure their nonsense.

Why is everyone suggesting this path? Is it because its the safest way to go? Some people told me that everywhere is the same. Is it really the case? I know the current state of my company. At least if I change a new job, its a 50-50 percent chance of landing myself in a better place. Seriously, this is the last last option I'm taking.

Which path should I choose?

As I was typing this entry, I suddenly realise that the question that has been in my head for the past few days wasn't really about which path to choose. Instead, it is about how to pick up my courage and walk the path that my heart wants to go.

When was the last time you had a dream?

When was the last time you had a dream? I'm not referring to those dreams you had when you are sleeping. I'm referring to daydreaming.

I used to daydream alot. I used to dream about being the founder and CEO of a large Singapore based handphone, PDA and laptop maker. The company comes out with lots of amazing gadgets that took the world by storm.

It was a great dream. Something too far reached, but worth working towards. Perhaps its not quite possible to reach the same scale, but perhaps just part of it is good enough.

But I haven't been dreaming about those things lately. And I was wondering why. Why did I stop daydreaming? I always told people that the successful people are those with a crazy dream and dare to pursuit their dream.

If someone told you they are going to do virtual real estate 5 years ago, you will most likely say that guy is crazy. Crazy it may sound, but that is what Linden Lab is doing now. Its call Second life. See how successful it is now.

Every successful person begin their journey with a dream. And I guess perhaps it is really I time for me to sit down and start dreaming of the future again. I was telling myself last Wednesday that I want to use this weekend to think of the future. But before I can really start to think of the future, I must have a dream first. And what is my dream? I asked myself several times over the past few days without any answer. I have been too busy over the past one year to dream.

Is my dream working in my current company till I retire? Or find another job and work till I grow old? Or am I dreaming of coming out of the comfort zone and start doing something for the society? Creating something that everyone will say "wow" when they see it? What is my dream? I don't know. I only know that I'm not in the position that I want to be now. And I seriously need to do something about it.

When was the last time you had a dream? I seriously can't remember. Perhaps I'm too busy to dream. Perhaps I was being too practical. Perhaps I just didn't dare to dream. Perhaps I had too much commitment. Perhaps perhaps perhaps.....

Whatever it is, I'll be dreaming this weekend and chasing those dreams from monday onwards.

Village talk

Today is suppose to be Eat With Your Family Day. Company let us all knock off at 5pm. But I didn't go home and eat with my family. I'm at the village talk now.

Blogout

Just came back from blogout. It was a cool event. I'm so glad that I left my office at 6pm sharp and hoot cab down to geek terminal.

And being the first blogout, I guess it was a lesson for many of us. For the geek terminal staff, it is their first time holding such a big event at their place. I guess they will have more of such events in the future. Ping.sg is planning to have its 1st Anniversary party there. Although we don't have such a big crowd, the experience we had today is useful for our planning.

TDM is great. They organised one great event after another. I'm going to look out for more events organised by TDM. When you see the brand name TDM, you can be sure its going to be a great event.

But one thing to note, the panel for Nexus was very successful, but the discussion wasn't so good. But for this blogout, the discussion was quite well done, but the panel wasn't as good. Perhaps its the venue. Too friendly for small group discussion, to a point where people are having their own discussion during the panel.

Too bad Genie couldn't perform live as she is sick. But she managed to come and and have a short talk. CCDA also went up to talk a bit about her being nominated as the hottest mommy. Hey, she's in the top 10 ok! Uzyn was one of the panelist for the only panel of the day. But the crowd is too noisy. Argh.

Ping.sg's present can be felt at the entire event. We are forming a very strong and united community. Hope it will continue to grow.

Great event. Nice chance for networking. I still need to work on my networking skill.

TDM's blogroll for blogout
The TDM has created a blogroll. I saw the URL on my blog tracker and went to check it out. Its like watching blogTV, displaying a new blog on the page every 30 second. Cool huh? I guess they will be displaying that page on a projector screen during blogout tonight.

If you are seeing this page at blogout, a big "HI" to you. :D

My April's Fool joke
You know your April's Fool joke works when it was featured in a blog talking about security.

I'm wondering if I should leave a comment there and tell them its a joke.

Start e-Balloting your NDP tickets now
The annual e-Balloting for NDP tickets is now on. All Singaporean please proceed to the NDP 07 website now.

I wish to say that I've never gotten the tickets before. So please please please give it to me this year.

mrbrown is Top 20 Asian progressives
mrbrown is named Top 20 Asian progressives by World Business. Others in the list include country leaders, businessmen etc etc.

Funny, the world most well paid Prime Minister is nowhere found in the list. Maybe his pay still not high enough.

Top contributor for tomorrow.sg
If you notice, I'm currently one of the top contributor for tomorrow.sg. But do you know its actually very easy to be one of the top contributors? Simply submit two article to tomorrow.sg and if both of them get selected, you are in. If two is not enough, then usually three article will do the trick.

I became one of the top contributor by submitting 2 article. Its that simple. Reason being, most people submit article without logging in. Other merely submit one article. So if you submit two or three, you should be inside the top contributor list too. Shhh.... don't tell too many people.

Job and George
A china colleague of mine told me that he is going Jobstreet later in the afteroon. I was quite shocked that he said that so loudly. If you want to go jobstreet, do it quietly. Why tell the whole office that you are looking for a new job?

It was until further clarification when I found out that he actually meant George Street.

Back to the retirement village

My exams are finally over. *wipe sweat*

I took 7 days leave this time round for the 2 papers I'm taking. That is quite a record. I don't usually take such a long leave to prepare for my exams. If I add the weekends, it would be 11 days to prepare for 2 papers. But well, I didn't study for the whole of 11 days. Quite a number of days were spend on those little distractions.

Anyway, I'm glad that the exam is over. The rest of the week is going to be quite busy for me too. But at least they are towards the fun side. So I guess I'm going to enjoy it. But don't think I'll be able to update my blog often until the weekend. We'll see how.

Now that my exams are over, its time for me to go back to work. Back to office. Or a place where I sometimes call retirement village. Not that I'm there to retire, but I feel that a lot of people are there waiting for their retirement. Quite sad. But seriously, if you are old, my company is actually quite a good place to wait for retirement.

And I'm quite sick of those people there waiting for their retirement.

For the past 11 days, I didn't check my office email. That is quite unlike me. In the past, I would still check my office email when I'm on leave. But nowadays, the heart is no longer with the company anymore. I just want to get away from the company.

I guess I'll start finding a new job soon. I don't want to retire there. At least not now.

A night of pukes

Not I puke hor.

The guys decide to take our revenge on the sisters for the food they "treated" us in the morning. We brought 3 glasses of red wine, filled to the brim. Mind you, they are not small glasses. 1 bottle of wine can only fill 2 1/2 glasses. And we made the sisters drink it. Of cause, we also drink with them.

One of the sister was drank and went toilet to puke. Luckily for us, the hotel gave T two rooms. One for the couple and one for the "helpers". So we send her to the room to rest.

Can't believe they didn't make T drink much. I said I will not be helping T to block the drinks. The only way I'll help T that night is not to make him drink. I guess its the best way to help. He was still very sober when the guest were leaving. Very unlike the usual wedding in our company.

So after all the guest left, we decided to continue the drinking session. So we went up the newly wed's hotel room with 2 bottle of red wine. The hotel also provided a bottle of champagne. And so, we made the couple drink until T puke into the champagne bucket. He wasn't in time to rush to the restroom, so I grab the nearest container for him to puke. Some of his puke landed on my hand! Wah piang, cannot aim properly one.

Since there were still wine and T has already knock out, I decide to make the other sister drink. She was the most sober one in the room anyway. 15 minutes later, she also knock out. We put her next to the other sister in the helper's room and started taking photos of their drunk state. Haha. We were evil. Eating out supper while joking with the 2 drunkard. Making them reveal secrets about themselves. The 2 of them keep going to the toilet to puke. We have to go and help support them in case they fall into the toilet bowl. At one point, both of them went to the restroom to puke together, one into the toilet bowl and the other one into the bathtub. We help them back to the bed and wash up the toilet after they puke. Then we continue to eat our supper while waiting for them to sober up. I think we best, after seeing people puke, still can continue to eat.

When they are slight more sober, I send both of them home together with another sister who didn't drink much. It was like going half way round Singapore on a cab. The Taxi uncle must be very happy that night.

I think I'm going to be blacklisted in the future for all my colleagues' and friends' wedding. Oh well... it was fun.

Help friend knock door

It is T's wedding today. He asked me to help be one of his brother. This is actually my first time helping out in wedding. I woke up extra early to go over to T's house. The task is quite simple, just go to T's wife house and try to bargain your way into the house. I call it help people knock door. The gals will try to sabo the guys and stuff.

Actually, the sisters didn't play much with us. Just some prata with chili inside, which we only ate 3/4 and throw away the rest. Orange juice mixed with some other unknown stuff, which we pour away 1/2. Coffee mixed with coke which one of the brother finished drinking and I think having a slight stomach ache now.

We didn't do anything funny at the door like dancing or singing. The gals don't really know how to sabo people. We are lucky. T didn't save much on the ang pow. He don't know how to bargain. The sisters asked for $188, he counter offer $168. Alamak. Like that how to go Thailand shopping? Anyway, we managed to get into the house in less than 1/2 hr.

Then we went over to some ulu part of ponggol to take photos.

Actually, is they take photos. The brothers and sisters just stand under the shade and watch.

Then we went back to T's house for tea ceremony. They ask 2 little kids to jump on the bed. One of the relative told T's wife to "quick give birth to a 龙凤胎". Wah, so demanding. Boy not enough, twin also not enough. Must be twin, one guy one gal.

Going to catch a nap. Later tonight got wedding dinner.

I have a blogging reputation to protect

I got an invitation today afternoon to attend some opening party or something by a new local startup. At first I thought it was cool. Its nice to see people embracing the new media. Although I got an appointment that day, I thought maybe I could pop by to check things out first before heading over to my appointment, since its just nearby.

The person in charge was talking to me on MSN. Funny, instead of emailing me, he choose to use MSN. Anyway, I had a short conversation with him. I felt abit uneasy when he ask me to email him once I've blogged about their company and he will send me the invite. No blog, no invite.

I turn down the offer politely and explained my reasons for doing so.

It is easy for me to write about a company or service to get a ticket to a free party with food, wine etc etc. I don't lose any money by writing stuff on my blog. But how would my readers feel if I'm writing something about a company just to get benefits from them? How many readers will still read my reviews after discovering that I'm getting benefits for writing good words?

I want to write about things that I feel is worth mentioning. Things that I feel my readers would be interested in, or at least things that I'm interested in. I'm not saying that company is not good or anything. I mean that I still don't know that company well enough to judge it. Its too early for me to decide if I want to blog about that company or not. That why I turn down the offer.

Freebies offered to bloggers should not come with any strings attached. As a blogger, I should be allowed to decide if I want to blog about it or not. I've a few friends who got some products samples and services from company, yet they didn't mention a single word about the company in their blog. It is not that they are playing with the company or taking them for a free ride. But they feel that the product or services are not worth mentioning in their blog, thus they choose not to post anything about it. And the company knew about it and respected their decision. I admired these bloggers and those company.

I know there are bloggers out there who just blog about a product or service regardless how good or bad it is. Sure, you can fool your readers once or twice, but you can't fool them forever. End of the day, they are throwing their reputation away.

I have a reputation to protect in the blogsphere. I want my blog to come with truthful reviews and recommendations. I don't want readers to get the impression that I'm writing about the product or service just because I'm getting freebies from the company. I want my readers to know that everything I mentioned in my blog are all things that I feel are good and worth recommending. A truthful review that money can't buy.

End of the day, I have a blogging reputation to protect. A reputation that I took many years to built up.

Too Long For Twitter, Too Short For Blog #2

Bloggable or not?
Got an email from Kevin recently. Notice something interesting in his email signature. Below his name and blog url, he also put this.

This email is: [X] bloggable [ ] ask first [ ] private

Interesting concept. Perhaps I should follow too.

Give some, take alot
The GST will be increased to 7% in July. Remember to apply for your GST offset package. Oh well... they give us some money, then later going to take a lot back.

Give birth machim like parking in carpark
It sound so weird that KK hospital is going to change their charging scheme to per minute basis. It sound so much like parking your car inside those ERP system where they charge you by the minute.

So will there be a nurse holding a stopwatch to time you? 56 cents per minutes, PUSH, quick PUSH!

Where is Moo?
Found this interesting project by a moo user. They are sending a moo box using snail mail to collect 100 moo cards. Sound cool huh? I've applied already. Hope to get the box soon. :D

Who block me on MSN?
Ever wonder who blocked you on MSN? Well, this site can help solve the mystery. It checks who blocked you or deleted you from their MSN. Nice. I got 4 people in the list. Ouch... How could you all do this to me?

I was surprised that she didn't block me. Sorry, I was wrong. I keep thinking that you have blocked me. Sorry sorry.

PS: You need to enter your MSN ID and Password. Use at your own risk.

Ham Ham De Uncle also got blog now
Eastcoastlife's (aka Chio Chio De Aunty) husband boyfriend has just started blogging. Check out his blog here.

Now everyone in his family is blogging except their maid. So when is she starting her blog? Haha.

Helsinki Complaints Choir

There are quite a number of complaint choir from different countries, but I feel that this is the best. Anyone got their lyrics?

Wondering if Singapore have a complaint choir too. I think Singapore can form a better complaint choir since our national pasttime is complaining.

The blogger problem lies with Singnet

The blogger problem that I've been getting lately is actually from Singnet. There is a discussion about this in the blogger help forum.

East Coast Life told me that there are some talks about this issue and the problem lies with Singnet. At first I didn't believe it. I went ask around and found that most of my Singnet friends are having problem with blogger. But there I also found some Starhub users with the same problem too.

So I thought the problem can't be with Singnet. Until I saw that article in the blogger help forum. Maybe starhub is also getting the same problem because they route pass Singnet. Not sure.

The work around solution now is to add a 2 to the www in the url. I've tried it and it works. Lets hope they fixed the problem soon. Oh well, at least my edit post screen looks ok now. Still can't amend my template unless I add the 2 behind the www.

Oh crappy Singnet....

Two paper and a whole world of distraction

Day 3 of study leave. Things aren't going as smoothly as planned. I know I will be distracted. I even planned time for those distractions. But appearantly, no amount of planned time is enough for distraction.

I can never study at home. There are just too many distraction. Internet, bed, TV, food, newspaper etc etc. Basically, the brain just don't feel like studying.

I missed the days when I study for that killer module two years ago. It was a tough module. The failing rate each year is always higher than 50%. At its peak, that module failed 80% of the student taking it. And its no joke. I tried looking at the past year paper for that year where 80% failed, and I wonder how did the remaining 20% managed to pass that kind of paper. It was really a tough module. I spend several days doing revision for it. Going thru notes over and over again. I even stayed up whole night once at West Coast McDonalds to study.

And I'm glad that I passed that paper. Although not with good grades, but passing that alone is an achievment.

Ah.... see... blogging is also another distraction. I'm packing my stuff and getting ready to go out already, but I wasted another 5 minutes blogging. I have to get myself out of the house to really study effectively. At least when you are outside, you have less distractions. I'm going to my school library now.

Revision is really going too slowly. I think I'm going to need a panic button real soon. Good news is, panic button can be bought here for just 3pound.

Bad news is, I don't think they deliver to Singapore. Even if they do, I'm sure it won't be delivered in time for my exams even if I order now.

OK OK.... I'm really switching off my PC now and getting my ass out of my house. Wait.... need to go ping.sg to ping this too. Must tell myself: *Do not look at the shoutbox*

One overrides the other

Went jogging.....

.... then went east coast hawker centre with ECL and HHDU for my dinner (their supper). One overrides the other.

Got Stingray, Sotong and Satay.
The samba chilli on the Stingray and Sotong very powerful. I keep sweating while eating. Shiok... Must go there again.

My moo has arrived

Got a pleasant surprise when the postman came knocking my door today afternoon. I thought its some registered letter for my dad. But it turns out to be a package for me. And its too fat to slot into my mailbox.

Its my moo cards! I got to know about moo cards from Kevin during on of the ping.sg gathering. Ever since then, I've been wanting to get one myself. It is only recently that I went to their webpage and ordered mine. I placed my order on 4th May. They drop me an email telling me that it was delivered on 10th May and I got it today (15 May). That was fast.

The cards comes in a nice little white box. Can't help taking a lots of pictures.

I selected 11 designs from the template they provided. I can actually use my own pictures from flickr too.

My personal fave are the one with grass and bluesky, coffee and the lone man at the beach. I know the gals are going to like the kitten a lot.

Actually, they made a small mistake. I made an amendment to my order the next day to include the picture of my face on the table. But it was not included. I think they made a mistake and use to older order instead of the updated order. Still wondering if I want to go thru the hassle and get them change. Maybe I'll check the process first before deciding.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the cards. Very nicely done. Love it.

And best of all, they are in time for blogout and village talk next week.

Plateau Serenade and Ping.sg ad hoc meetup

Went Essential Brew again yesterday with only one thing in my mine.... To try the Plateau Serenade again before it runs out.

Must thank Ebie for introducing to the ping.sg folks this wonderful desert during our 2nd gathering. Its a pity that we will no longer have a chance to eat it after June.

Anyone wanna go essential brew for Plateau Serenade? Call me lah. Don't be like someone like that, lose my handphone number when LG gave her the new LG Shine phone. :P

-------------
Somehow, the food at Essential Brew wasn't able to fill my stomach. I was chatting with the guys at ping.sg when a few of them also said that they are hungry too. So we had an ad hoc meetup to go the prata shop near NUS. That is my fave prata joint. I love their Special Cheese Prata. There is cheese, egg and potato inside. Very nice. (And very sinful too)

Had a great time talking to Ridz, CJ, Uzyn and Sekling. Its actually quite hard to do all these late nite supper on weekday if you are working. Student life is good. How I wish I can become a full time student again, and not a part time one.

Perhaps we can have another one when the school reopen, then we can also grab Nicole, Estee and SY along. Sorry to the ping.sg folks staying in the east. :P

I think I need to go for a run soon.....

Shirlyn Tan - Window

Remember Shirlyn Tan? I blog about her last month when I went for the album launch. Her MV for the song "Window" is out. And she uploaded it to youtube. Cool. This is so unlike some recording companies and singers where they are quite against their music being placed on youtube for everyone. I strongly believe that uploading them to youtube is a good advertisment for the singer and album.

Anyway, check out the MV. Hope that she will be making the MV for the rest of the songs in her album. Especially "Newfound Jealousy", "Snow", "Couldn't we try" and "Walk away". Those are my personal fave. :)

Go buy the CD. Support local artist.

PS: Anyone knows where can I find the lyrics so that I can cut and paste here?
Thanks to an anonymous reader for sending the lyrics. :D

Shirlyn Tan - Window

she looked out the window
and she saw a million stars shine upon the house she sits in
searching through her memory
and she saw a little girl crying alone in the dark
she looked out the window
and she saw a naked man dying in the sunset

her eyes were shining like stars
and the sky was falling
while she was crying
before he died
how she tried to make things right

she looked out of the window
and she saw a lonely bird flying away from love lost
searching through her memory
and she saw a pair of eyes peering into solitude
she looked out of the window
and she saw a pair of hands holding her future

her eyes were shining like the stars
and the sky was falling
while she was crying
before he died
how she tried to make things right

what did she see you ask me
i couldn't understand the tongue she spoke
when i found her
wild was her hair in the night
in the night

her eyes were shining like stars
and the sky was falling
while she was crying
before he died
how she tried to make things right

she looked out of the window

Too Long For Twitter, Too Short For Blog #1

Have you ever had those little things that you wanted to share with everyone, but its too long for twitter and too short for a blog entry?

I think I'll start a new series in my blog call "Too Long For Twitter, Too Short For Blog" (TLFT TSFB) to record those little thing I've encountered. Maybe I'll make it a weekly one. See how.

Blogger problem
Blogger been pretty buggy lately. Don't know what is wrong. Can't comment on some entries. And been wanting to amend my template to add links to some wonderful blogs that I've found lately.

Well... Have to wait till they fix the problem.

No more WIFI at Carl's Jr

Went Suntec Carl's Jr and discovered that their WIFI is now secured. I guess they forgot to secured it previously. Oh well.... 1 less free WIFI zone. Wireless@sg still sucks.

Searching for Graze Anniversary Party Photos

Someone was searching for the Graze Anniversary Party Photos and found my site. I'm also searching for them. Want to see the one and only picture that I tooked with Veron.

Chio Chio De Aunty always get what she wants
Went Geylang Serai for supper with Chio Chio De Aunty and Ham Ham De Uncle. They were saying the tissue prata there very nice. But unknown to them, the store don't make tissue prata on weekends as it takes up too much time.

CCDA went to talk to the cook but he still refused. So no choice, we ordered banana prata. Then we saw someone whom look like the boss. CCDA went chat with the person and discovered that he is indeed the boss. So she told the boss how much we love to try their tissue prata and that I came all the way from Jurong to try it. Haha.

The boss went talk to the cook and we had our tissue prata. This chio chio de aunty always get what she wants. :P

Sarah Mclachlan - Angel

Was driving back home after supper with CCDA & HHDU when I heard this song over the radio.

This song always brings back some memories. I still remember myself drinking a bottle of hoegaarden at home with all the lights off and listening to this song on repeat. No, I'm not sinking back into those time again.

Its just nice to look back at the past and see how far I've moved on now.

Sarah Mclachlan - Angel

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always one reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memory seeps from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lie
That you make up for all that you lack
It don’t make no difference
Escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Child sex in Second Life

Linden Lab recently banned 2 users from Second Life because they were "engaging in child sex" in the SL world.

On Thursday May 3, we were contacted by German television network, ARD, which had captured images of two avatars, one that resembled an adult male and another that resembled a child, engaged in depicted sexual conduct. Our investigations revealed the users behind these avatars to be a 54-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman. Both were immediately banned from Second Life.

I am against child sex. In the first place, I cannot understand why would someone be so pervertic to be interested in having sex with a little child.

But this happened in Second Life. The 2 person behind it are adults, and merely roleplaying child sex. Is there anything wrong about it? Why the ban? What role playing is allowed in Second Life, and what is not allowed? And since children aren't allowed to sign up for Second Life, then why in the first place allow a child avatar?

Will someone be banned for having sex with another person using an animal avatar? I wonder.

Anyway, I also don't understand why do people engage in sexual activities in Second Life. Where is the fun of having "sex" in second life? What the fun? Like that shiok meh? OK, perhaps I don't understand because I haven't tried it before.

Darryl Kappler is still a virgin in Second Life.

Geek Terminal round 2

Went to Geek Terminal again yesterday with Nicole, Hendri and Veron. It wasn't a ping.sg gathering. Just a geek going to his fave cafe and getting a few friends to join in the fun. Geek Terminal is starting to become a place for bloggers to gather. Neo was there to meetup some friends to discuss work stuff. Kevin was there with a few friends. And Ridzuan bought his beautiful date to Geek Terminal for dinner.

I ordered Nachos & Salsa Dance to bite on while waiting for the rest to arrive. The salsa sauce was great when it is hot. When it cooled down, it wasn't that great anymore. Well, the Nachos still taste good on its own.

Their Soft Shell Crab Pasta is their Chef recommendation. It doesn't looks good, but looks can be deceiving. The pasta is top with curry sauce (I think) which make it slightly spicy. But it taste great. A must order!

And then there was the Geek Soup. Yes, Geek Terminal's very own Geek Soup. I can't recall what's in the Geek Soup. I remember there cheese, mushroom, carrots, potatos and some meat which I can't remember what meat was that. Beef? Chicken? Anyway, it tasted good.

I kinda regretted that I ordered the soup as part of the set meal. The soup portion for set meal soup is rather small. Not enough lor. Must order the ala carte geek soup then enough. Just wondering.... can add extra cheese or not? :D Next time I'll ask.

Then its the coffee. A trip to Geek Terminal is never complete without the coffee. And I've just discovered the correct way to order coffee at Geek Terminal. Go to the bar counter, look for Danny and order your coffee. And he will tell you all the coffee stories while preparing your drink. His espresso machine is purposely place in an angle where you can see everything he does from the bar counter. Its always entertaining to watch him prepare my coffee.

Oh ya, and Danny has a special drink that is not in the menu. He was telling us not to blog about it, but I couldn't resist. Its the best drink I've ever tasted. It taste a lot like Mocha, but slightly different. And they even have a name for it. So next time when you are at Geek Terminal, walk up to Danny and order that special drink. It's call "DK's Mocha". Cost extra 50 cents more because of the extra workmanship and branding.

OK, I'm just kidding. But Danny will be glad to write anything you want on your coffee. Bold, Italic or Underline? You name it, he'll do it.

Twitter go mobile

Good news everyone. Twitter has just gone mobile!

Just use your handphone's web browser, go to m.twitter.com, login and you are ready to twit! Its that simple. They even show the previous 5 post from you and your friend. Just like what you see on the twitter page. Cool huh? (I wish I have another camera now to take a snapshot of my handphone screen)

Say bye bye to the 15cent international sms and hi to GPRS charges.

Here is my hello m.twitter post. Cheers!

Hog's Breath and almost Cafe del Mar

Meetup with Shan and Audrey after work today for dinner. Wanted to go Orchard initially, but the 2 pretty ladies changed their mind and we went to Vivo city instead. Audrey and I were both late because we have to rush down from work. Unlike Shan who is on study leave. Oh well, I'll be on my study leave next week too. :D

We couldn't decide on where to eat. At first wanted to go Marche, but while on our way up, we passed by Hog's Breath and decided to go there instead. While waiting for the food, we did some cam whoring.

An updated version of my "face on table" picture? (BTW: My feeding hour is anytime.)

I can't really remember what they ordered. They are all steak anyway. I ordered a El Grande Prime Rib. The steak is nicely done, quite tender. The cheese and tomato salsa on the steak enhance the flavor. The sliced jalapenos in the salsa make it taste better.

The after taste of the jalapenos still lingers in my mouth.

Something stupid about the Hog's Breath at Vivo City. They don't have the option of ordering 200gm steak. They only have 300gm. And unlike other branch, they also don't have discount for HSBC and UOB credit card. Crappy.

Think we will visit the chimes branch instead. The standard is much better there. :D

Then suddenly we got this crazy idea to go Cafe del Mar at Siloso Beach. It was already 9 plus already. Audrey's cousin is working there, so she SMS him to ask him book a seat for us. He didn't reply, so we went over to the skytrain station and bought our ticket to Sentosa. Just when the staff printed our ticket, Audrey's cousin replied saying the whole Cafe del Mar is booked for private function tonight and we can't go in. Damn. His timing is perfect. If only he sms 20 second earlier and we would had saved the trip to Sentosa. But since we already bought the ticket, why not just go Sentosa.

This is the first time I took the new skytrain. They uses something similar to the ezlink card system. You just tap your card and go. The interesting thing is, this card they give you does not require you to pay any deposit, unlike the stupid SMRT single trip fare card. You just throw away the ticket after use. No need to return the card to collect your deposit. Wonder why didn't SMRT use the same material for their single trip fare card.

And we cam whore in the train again. The whole cabin was empty and we took quite a lot of pictures.

The 2 ladies wanted to check out the rates at the new hotel behind Cafe de Mar. Its quite expensive. But with the backdoor facing Cafe del Mar, its worth every cent. They are planning to book a room sometime in June. I'm going to join them too. This is going to be so fun. :D

We stroll along the beach for awhile and got bored. So we took the bus back to the train station and wanted to go to their Coffee Bean. But they are closed already. Its only 10pm leh. So early?

Since we have nothing to do at Sentosa, we head back to Vivo City and had a drink at the coffee bean there. Audrey blur until took out her ezlink card and try to take at the entry of the skytrain. Haha... Nice try.

Had a pleasant evening with the 2 ladies. Would had been better if we can get into Cafe del Mar. Well, at least we did see their door. Indeed almost Cafe del Mar. :P

Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter

Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time

And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her skies

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time

And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes...
Eyes...

Oh, did I say
That I loathe you?
Did I say
That I want to leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind...
My mind
My mind...

I won the "Win a date with Veron" contest

I was so surprised that I won the "Win a date with Veron" contest. Never thought I would win actually. I was just trying my luck.

And I send in my application at the very last minute. If Veron didn't twittered about it, I would had forgotten that yesterday is the due date. So I drafted an quick and catchy email.

Hi Veron

I’m writing to enter the “Win a date with Veron” contest.

A short introduction of myself, I’m Darryl, most people online call me DK. I’m 27 this year, working as a no life programmer. I have been your blog reader ever since I saw your blog being listed in ping.sg. You can read more about me from my blog at http://decayonnet.blogspot.com.

Attached is a photo of myself. I would love to have a date with you at Graze. Hope to see you there.

Regards
DK

And I attached my famous "Face on table" picture. I guess that attracted a lot of attention. Half an hour later, Veron announced that she has selected the winner. At first I thought it was someone else because I didn't get any email. Well... there was some lagging in the email system. It was about 30 seconds later when I got this email.

Hey DK,

Love your intro. You sound like a really decent, not to mention, eligible guy. My mom has approved of your profile and your photo. So I'll see you there tomorrow!

I won!!! Yippie... I'm going Graze with Veron.

Veron told me that she really showed her mum my email and her mum laugh when she saw my photo. I guess her mum also played a part in getting me selected. Thanks Aunty. :D

So I went to Graze with Veron. It was their Anniversary party and launching of new menu. We arrived quite early and the place is still quite empty. A photographer took a photo of us. He said would be up in *don't know which website* lah. Let me know if you see a photo of me with Veron somewhere on the net.

The place is very beautiful. The ambience was great. It's those kind of place to bring a gal to if you want to impress her. Or to celebrate some special events like anniversary or birthday. The pricing is abit towards the high end.

We had champagne after champagne. Seriously, I never drank so much champagne in my whole life before. Not really a champagne person. Would prefer red wine. But red wine would be too strong as I'm driving.

The waiter bought small bite size sample of the food that is on their new menu. The food was good. But I couldn't get a decent picture of the food because of the dim lighting. And I didn't managed to catch the name of the food. But generally, they taste quite good. As a whole, I would say the ambience scored full marks. Food wise, I can't comment much as all the food I had were just bite size sample. But they taste quite good. Would love to go there again and really try their food properly.

So we sat a one corner and chatted over champagne while waiter bought sample bite size food every now and then. Think Veron also had too much champagne and felt abit tipsy. We ended the evening with teh-tarek and Milo at the food centre near Veron's house.

Twitter woes

We all know that twitter is going to be the next big thing after blogger, flickr and youtube. I'm glad I learnt about this amazing tool at an early stage and get to see more and more users joining.

Twitter has been quite fun. Especially the ridstar channel. If you are new to twitter, this is the first 2 person you should add to your friend list. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Twitter can be very addictive too. 95% of the SMS that I received are from twitter. Just last month, I send 36 oversea SMS. To Twitter of course. I'm starting to find that I no longer have much friends that SMS me. Some even use twitter to private SMS me because it is free if you use the online service.

I'm beginning to know more and more people who use twitter. I'm actually following quite a number of people now. And my phone keep beeping with SMS. My dad even ask what business am I doing lately. Why am I getting so much SMS lately? I don't know how to explain the concept of twitter to him. I just told him it's some internet thing.

I think I'm almost reaching a point where twitter is affecting my daily life. I carry my handphone with me whenever I go out. And twitter follows me. I would really love to follow everyone's twitter. But I really can't. Its too distracting.

To my friends on twitter: Please forgive me if I'm not following you when you added me. Its not that I'm not interested in your twitter message. Its just that I can't follow everyone. I hope you will understand.

PS: I got 3 SMS from twitter while typing this entry.

Keropok Man's photo exposed on internet

If you are a Singapore blogger, you would most likely know who is Keropok Man. He is the man behind Keropok man - Singapore Daily Photo and Singapura Daily Makan Photo. You got to look at his photos.... they are great. Danny from Geek Terminal even says he is the fastest trigger finger in Singapore. I concur.

But the mysterious Keropok Man is always been behind the camera. Until now, nobody have seen his photo online. He always managed to run away whenever someone wants to take a photo of him.

Keropok man came down to the ping.sg booth yesterday. The guys at ping.sg were bored and decided to take a picture of him. It took 4 people to hold him down in order to take his picture. At first, we swear to heaven and earth not to expose these picture on the internet. But that keropok man go and send chio chio de aunty a picture of my backside.

I must take revenge. This is Keropok man's photo. *evil laugh*

Keropok man: Don't anyhow send that picture of my backside to other people liao lah. Want to send also must send to chio bu. Don't send to those from chio bu alumni. :P

I'm not a popular blogger

Met quite a few new faces today at the ping.sg booth. And it seems funny that many of them know who am I. I get responds like "Oh, you are DK" and "You are the guy with the face on the table right?" and "You are decayonnet right?".

But still, I'm not a popular blogger. After all, I only got average 100 plus hit per day. That is like less than 10% of what the celebrity bloggers are getting each day.

Another sign that I'm not a popular blogger is that LG's blogger relation dept never lend me their new LG Shine phone to play with. They gave the phone to serveral popular blogger for 3 months to play with. I happen to know 2 of them and saw them using it today.

Well.... I not popular enough to get my hands on that phone to play with. :(

PS: This is a sour grape posting. You can ignore it actually.

ping.sg having fun at far east plaza

The guys and gals from ping.sg having lots of fun at the booth at Far East Plaza.

OK, time to leave. Cheers.

Just some numbers

Warning: I'm using this entry to log down some figures so that I can visit them again when I hit my 2000th post.

I thought maybe I'll just share some my webstats on my 1000th posting.

I always enjoyed watching my counter. I like to see how people come over to my blog. Its quite interesting. Google analytics provides a nice pie chart telling you how many percentage of visitors come from which website.

Well... its no surprise that ping.sg had the biggest share at 33.95% of the total visitors. Frontallabs made it into my pie chart lately because someone posted a forum entry linking to my site.

Extreme tracking provides a good stats on the visitors. Here a snapshot of the number of visitors for the past 20 days, 20 weeks and 20 months.

And this is my technorati's ranking.

OK, I hope you guys not bored by the number. Will bring up this entry when I hit 2000th post....

IF I HIT 2000th POSTING.....

My 999th post

This is my 999th blog posting on decayonnet. Wow.... its been a long way. Never expected that I'll blog here for this long when I started blogging on 23 June 2005.

I can't remember which is the first blog that I've visited. But after visiting it, I find blogging quite interesting and started my own blog too. So I started blogging at blogger on 11 July 2002. My first blog was rather boring actually. I had just broken up with my ex and still haven't gotten over it. So most of my posting were about my thoughts and feelings towards her. I actually hoped that she would bump into my blog one day and be touched by my effort. Well, I later found out that she did bump into my blog and was reading it frequently. But my efforts didn't move her heart. Anyway, she is married now and we are still friends. :)

I got to know quite a few other bloggers from Singapore. Made a few friends thru ICQ. Everything turns out quite fine in the beginning. But everything changed after a few months. I don't know if I've offended some of them or what. Some of the bloggers seems to be always against me in the comments. Always trying to find things to flame me. They keep asking me to stop harping over the past and such. I was rather pissed off actually. It is my blog. I write whatever I like. If you don't like it, then go elsewhere. Well... they didn't.

And things got even more messy when some friends knew my blog. In the end, I grew so fustrated that I closed down that blog. I didn't blog for more than 1/2 year.

Then I created another blog at blogger again. Blog for a couple of months, but kept rather low profile. Maybe because I was afraid of flamers. I didn't blog much. Used the blog mainly as an online diary. Maybe because that blog was very low profile and nobody visited it. No visitors means no comments and interactions, thus... no ideas on what to blog.

Then I got to know about multiply. At first it seems cool. Its like friendster plus flickr plus blogger. I started blogging at multiply. Made a few friends there. But multiply has its limitations. And the thing I cannot stand the most is that they don't allow you to change your timezone. Everytime I blog, the time will be show USA timing. Quite crappy if you ask me.

So after a year of blogging in multiply, I started moving back to blogger again. And so here I am.... decayonnet.

So why I blog?
Cause I enjoyed doing it. I feel that blogging is an escape from the real world. When people pissed you off, you blog about it to release your anger. Its a place where I can share with people things that I see and I feel. It is also like an online diary for me to keep a record of things happening around me.

And most importantly, its a good place to make new friends.

Closure? Not quite....

Recieved this letter from the traffic police yesterday.

Its regarding that car accident I had in January.

It was obviously the SBS bus driver's fault. All the car has stopped moving already and he just come and bang my car. Even the traffic police at the location said that its obviously the SBS bus driver at fault. Yet it took them more than 3 months to finalize the findings. Careless driving, under Rule 29 road traffic rule. And the bus driver got a stern warning.

So you might think its a clousure for this whole event. Wait long long.

The bloody SBS bus's insurance company haven't pay up yet. And seriously, I don't know how much they going to pay. Especially the front damage is only 80% payable by some stupid laws. And next time, the insurance premium will be higher because of this accident. Its not my fault what. Why should I be penalised for this? This kind of thing how to avoid? This is crappy.

Next time, if you see a SBS bus coming from behind and not slowing down, quickly get out of your car, lift up your car and let the SBS bus pass under you.
